Andrew Moseley Associates expands into North East

The Leeds-based transport planning and engineering consultancy is opening an office at Haylofts, Newcastle, as it looks to grow its presence in the region.

Haylofts is a former stables for Newcastle Breweries, with 20 offices across two floors, six meeting rooms, and an auditorium with capacity for around 50 people.

So far, AMA has worked on the Aldi store on Mill Road in Durham, a 1,200-home scheme at Wynyard Park, and is currently working with Arlington Real Estate and Homes England on its 1m sq ft commercial and industrial project on land outside of Cramlington.

Alongside Andrew Moseley, the Newcastle office will be led by Aaron Yesudian, senior flood risk & drainage engineer and Jonathan Hazell, principal transport planner, who are both based in the North East.

The firm will expand over the next year to build a dedicated local team.

Andrew Moseley, managing director, AMA, said: “Opening our Newcastle office brings us even closer to the clients, communities, and
projects we’re already proud to support across the North East.

“This wider regional presence allows us to further enhance the high-quality service and planning success we’re known for, while also positioning us to grow our business and team as we build new relationships in this thriving part of the UK.”

Cllr Alex Hay, deputy leader and cabinet member for neighbourhood services, Newcastle City Council, said: “It is fantastic to welcome AMA to Newcastle bringing new jobs for local people.

“Newcastle and the wider region is ripe with opportunity and it’s an incredibly exciting time as AMA joins our vibrant business community.

“As an organisation committed to diversity, with a 50/50 gender split across all levels and actively championing apprenticeships, we are thrilled that they have chosen Newcastle as their new base and look forward to their future here.”
