Avison Young appoints interim regional head

Helen Ewles will be interim regional head of real estate management for the North East and Scotland.

Having worked at Avison Young for 17 years, Ewles started in the national inspection team supporting the property management department.

She transitioned to property management within the Newcastle REM surveying team in 2019, and was promoted to associate director in 2023.

Ewles has been responsible for a range of properties, including retail, offices, and industrial estates, and was involved in the East Pilgrim Street redevelopment.

She managed the Taras Properties portfolio, guiding the team in securing vacant possession for redevelopment on the plot now being developed as Pilgrim’s Quarter, the future home of HMRC in the North East and actively contributing to the construction and management strategy for Bank House.

The team is now advising on the forthcoming development of Pilgrim Place.

Properties managed by Avison Young in Newcastle / North East include Bank House, Wellbar Central and Retail World, Team Valley.
