Avison Young promotes two in Newcastle

Helen Ewles becomes associate director and Christopher Johnson associate planner at the consultancy.

The pair work in the real estate management and place/planning teams in the Newcastle office.

Ewles has extensive property management experience for both private and public sector clients including Ares on Retail World, Team Valley and Taras Properties, including the recently completed Bank House and other key assets in Newcastle city centre.

She said: “It’s a privilege to be involved in high profile projects such as the East Pilgrim Street regeneration particularly managing a flagship asset such as Bank House. My promotion to Associate Director affirms Avison Young’s commitment to its strong regional presence.”

Johnson joined AY in 2020 and has since worked with public and private sector partners including National Grid, the Durham DLI Museum redevelopment and the Industrial Solutions Employment Hub project in West Cumbria.

Gordon Hewling, principal and managing director of the office, said. “This is great news and just reward for their ability, hard work and attitude – both client-facing and within the office generally.”
