CGIS sells Tyneside House for £2.6m

The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs has acquired the 32,000 sq ft Newcastle Business Park building for longstanding tenant the Environment Agency.

Naylors Gavin Black brokered the sale for CGIS, part of property investment group MARCOL.

The three-storey building has been home to the Environment Agency for more than 25 years.

Built in the 1990s, Tyneside House overlooks the River Tyne and includes studio and storage facilities as well as office space over three floors and a generous parking allocation.

Chris Donabie, partner at Naylors Gavin Black, led on the deal. He said: “We are pleased to have been able to dispose of Tyneside House for our client in what remains a challenging office market.”
