- PROFESSOR TIM JONES, UNIVERSITY OF LIVERPOOL | Professor Tim Jones took up post as vice-chancellor of the University of Liverpool, moving from the University of Birmingham, where he was provost & vice-principal. Tim’s research interests are focused on the surface and thin film properties of a wide variety of advanced electronic materials, with applications in areas such as photovoltaics. - DACE DIMZA-JONES, DEPARTMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL TRADE| Dace plays a significant role in attracting & increasing investment in Life Sciences in England & helps the region achieve its ambitions across the sector. - JOHN LEAKE, SCI-TECH DARESBURY | John is the business growth director for Sci-Tech Daresbury. He moved to Sci-Tech Daresbury in 2006 to lead the establishment of the national science & innovation campus. The campus is home to a community of over 150 science & technology companies from start-ups to international corporates like IBM, Hitachi, Croda and Lubrizol. John is Chair of the UK Science Park Association (UKSPA) & has been a Board member for over 5 years. John also sits on the Liverpool City Region Investment Board & has been a member of the Liverpool City Region Digital & Creative Sector Board and Cheshire & Warrington Innovation Board.
- COLIN SINCLAIR, SCIONTEC | Colin is the chief executive officer of Knowledge Quarter Liverpool (KQ Liverpool), a 450-acre urban innovation district which is home to some of the world’s most influential players in science, health, technology, education & culture. He is also chief executive officer of Sciontec Liverpool, the KQ Liverpool development company, which owns & operates the successful Liverpool Science Park, the Sciontec AI serviced space offices in The Spine & is developing the HEMISPHERE One & Two laboratory & workspace developments at Paddington Village, Liverpool City Council’s flagship development site.
- STEVEN GREGORY, MORGAN SINDALL CONSTRUCTION | Steven leads the north west business for Morgan Sindall Construction, which specialises in complex projects in life sciences & commercial, as well as other key sectors such as health, education & residential. Having started out in the armed forces, Gregory has built a successful career in construction, holding senior roles with Engie and Equans before joining Morgan Sindall as area director earlier this year. John has extensive experience designing & delivering growth & investment programmes. John previously led on development of public investment projects to improve the flow of capital to early-stage business in the LCR, including the development of the LCR Seed Fund.
