Four promotions at Lichfields’ Newcastle office
Alex Kennedy, James Robertson, and Emily Thomson are now associate directors at the firm, while Lucy Blakemore is stepping into the role of senior planner.
Kennedy joined Lichfields in 2019 after graduating from Newcastle University, and has developed his planning career within the Newcastle office.
Robertson joined Lichfields in 2022 following four years at research services company Fortia Insight. He has supported public and private sector clients in assessing the economic impacts of development proposals for planning applications and also helps clients unlock funding.
Thomson has been with the firm for eight years, joining in 2018 after graduating from Newcastle University. She was promoted to senior planner in 2022 and has advised a range of clients across the retail, leisure, commercial, and infrastructure sectors, with a particular focus on preparing detailed retail impact assessments for national retailers.
In what is clearly a successful partnership between education and industry, Blakemore also joined Lichfields after graduating from Newcastle University in 2022, and has been with the company ever since.
