Greenbox Darlington nears completion

The 400,000 sq ft industrial estate was built by Winvic for private equity company Partners Group, in conjunction with Citivale.

Savills and HTA Real Estate are joint agents for the scheme, which is set for completion in February.

Greenbox will comprise three grade A units ranging from 84,000 sq ft to 213,000 sq ft, with a focus on sustainable features such as LED lighting and solar panels.

The development is located close to the A66 and next to three junctions on the A1.

The new development will also have a 3.5MVA power capacity alongside supporting office space.

Alex Reynolds, development director at Citivale, commented: “Greenbox Darlington will set a new quality benchmark for ESG-led developments and represent one of the UK’s very best critical logistics infrastructure assets.

“We are proud that this new strategic location will play a vital, long-term role in strengthening the UK’s supply chain resilience and make a positive impact at a local level for the environment and for communities.”
