Hedley snaps up five Newcastle Uni hires

All of the recent recruits will assist the planning consultancy’s senior team in preparing applications and supporting statements for the company’s clients in the residential and commercial sectors.

Rachael Bridges and Niamh McDonald have both joined as planners at the firm’s Grainger Street Newcastle office and Hexham office, respectively.

Bridges has recently completed a Master of Planning degree course at Newcastle University and during that time, gained experience working at North Tyneside’s planning department in the development management team.

McDonald has also recently graduated from the same five-year course, gaining work experience at Northumberland County Council.

Also appointed are Luca Curini and Lewis Davison, who have also joined as planners to complete year out placements with Hedley Planning.

Curini is currently studying for a BA in Urban Planning, while Davison is studying on the Master of Planning course.

A new student planner, Ebony Rolfe, is currently finishing an MSc in Urban Planning and completes the crop of Newcastle University students snapped up by the North East-based planning consultancy.

Director Joe Ridgeon said: “Our strength lies in our people, so I’m delighted to welcome Rachael, Niamh, Luca, Lewis and Ebony to the team.

“They are talented young planners with strong values that align closely with our business, so I look forward to working closely with them as they build a successful and rewarding career with us.”
