Homes by Esh bags Darlington consent

Planning permission has been granted for 144 homes close to the A66, triggering the sale of the land to the regional housebuilder.

The Hurworth Meadows development will include a collection of two, three and four-bedroom homes, with sales launching in 2024.

Each home will include solar photovoltaic panels, an electric car charging point and smart heating controls.

Colin Willetts, deputy managing director at Homes by Esh, said: “We currently have two developments in Darlington – West Park Garden Village and Elder Brook Park – which we have seen exceptional demand for.

“Hurworth Meadows will offer the same quality standard of Homes by Esh properties which are high specification by design and will be ideal for those who are looking to purchase their first home as we plan to introduce specific deals marketed towards this demographic.

“It is widely publicised that the cost-of-living crisis has made it even more difficult for first-time buyers, and we want to offer something different here at Hurworth Meadows so people can purchase an energy efficient home in a cost-effective way.”

Homes by Esh is part of Esh Group, the County Durham-headquartered, privately-owned construction, development, and property services group.
