Japan comes to Eldon Square

Maki & Ramen is taking 3,000 sq ft at the shopping centre, its first North East venue.

Opening this summer, the arrival continues the centre’s push to attract experience-led operators and adds to recent lettings such as Freight Island and Flight Club.

This will be the brand’s 10th UK store, with others located in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, and Leeds.

The opening also coincides with the company’s 10th anniversary, and the store will be located on Old Eldon Square.

Kitty Vaughan, head of UK Leisure and F&B leasing, Pradera Lateral, said: “We’re proud to have secured the first North East branch of Maki & Ramen for Eldon Square.

“Their unique, high-quality offering adds another exciting layer to our growing food and drink line-up and plays a key role in our mission to make Newcastle a vibrant, modern and must-visit city centre destination, while continuing to attract high-performing, experience-led brands to the centre.”
