Legal firm makes Portland House move
True Solicitors has moved its 150-strong Newcastle team into the redeveloped former home of Newcastle Building Society, taking 6,857 sq ft.
On New Bridge Street West, Portland House has been overhauled by James Keegan and Oliver Holland, and has reaped the rewards with a string of deals, including a 20,000 sq ft deal with flex space provider Wizu.
Ezoic, Central Employment and property consultancy RLB are among other firms to have signed up at the building, where the letting agents are BNP Paribas Real Estate, Parker Knights and Sanderson Weatherall.
True described its relocation as “transformational”.
Andrew Milnes, managing partner, said: “The move enables True’s entire Newcastle team to share a single space for the first time in over 20 years, and we believe that will encourage new ways of working and collaborating.
“Portland House is a modern working environment in a thriving location, with first class communal facilities which will benefit both our team and our clients. The move also signals our confidence in Newcastle city centre as a thriving location to work and carry out business.”
