LNT secures £100m firepower to build up to 20 care homes in coming years
Leumi UK has provided the developer with a nine-figure revolving credit facility to facilitate its growth plans.
LNT Care Developments, which has pipeline schemes in Lancashire and Cheshire, will use the £100m facility to build six care homes initially.
One of these is a 66-bed scheme in Hooton, Cheshire. The others will be in Norfolk, Lincolnshire, Devon, Gloucestershire, and Tyne & Wear. The schemes will add 330 beds to LNT’s portfolio of 16,500 beds across its 250 facilities.
The firm wants to build another 20 schemes over the next three years.
Matt Lowe, chief executive at LNT Care Developments said: “We are thrilled to build on our trusted partnership with the Leumi UK team, whose support gives us the flexibility we need to deliver our pipeline of new sites.
“We have ambitious growth plans and Leumi UK is an important funding partner as we continue to develop high-quality, best-in-class care facilities across the UK.”
The £100m RCF is Leumi UK’s largest healthcare financing deal to date.
Guy Brocklehurst, relationship director at Leumi UK, said: “LNT is a leading care home developer with a proven operating model, and we look forward to working with the business as it continues to expand its portfolio.
“This landmark transaction for Leumi UK demonstrates our ability to tailor financing solutions that support a top-tier, scalable platform. It reflects the strength of our relationship with LNT as well as our conviction in the long-term prospects for the care sector in the UK.”
