Naylors Gavin Black expands valuation services

Ben Wood leaves BNP Paribas to join the Newcastle-based property consultancy as an associate partner.

Wood was at BNP Paribas for four years, rising to senior associate director of valuations. Prior to that, he has worked at Eddisons in Newcastle,  HMG Valuation Office Agency in Durham, and Browns Commercial in Stockton-on-Tees.

Wood adds to NGB’s 40-strong team at One Strawberry Place in the city centre, and will work alongside partner, Martyn Collins.

Wood said: “Naylors presented me with an exciting opportunity to develop and grow its valuation service offer, working alongside their experienced and highly knowledgeable team of property experts.

“We are now able to undertake a wide range of loan security valuations across all main property sectors, alongside the existing service offer for our private clients.”

Martyn Collins, partner at Naylors Gavin Black, adds: “The appointment of Ben will greatly strengthen our valuations department and is part of a growth strategy that includes recruiting high calibre, experienced surveyors to expand services and take the business forward.”
