Persimmon submits Sunderland plans
The housebuilder wants to build 58 homes on Dairy Lane, Dubmire, in Houghton-le-Spring.
Persimmon’s internal planning team designed the estate, with help from planner Pegasus.
Homes will range from two- to four-bedrooms, with 15% designated affordable, via discounted rent or private sale.
Persimmon expects to make ‘significant’ contributions through the S106 agreement to infrastructure and local amenities, including funds towards new community allotments.
Oliver Thompson, land director, Persimmon Durham, said: “We’re delighted to be moving forward with plans for new homes at Dairy Lane.
“This development will provide much-needed, high quality and sustainable new housing alongside investment in the local area.
“We look forward to working closely with the council and the community to take these plans forward.”
