Rula submits planning for Teeslink industrial site

Outline approval is being sought for 775,000 sq ft of warehousing space on the empty 54-acre plot of land at Durham Lane industrial park in Stockton-on-Tees.

Rula was named as developer for the site in March last year by Stockton-on-Tees Council, who owns the land in Eaglescliffe.

The land was purchased by the council in 2021 with money from the Tees Valley Combined Authority’s Indigenous Growth Fund, which has also pledged £3m of grant money towards infrastructure improvements.

Phase one will see Rula create plateaus to level the site, making it ‘oven-ready’ for future construction.

Anthony Clitheroe, development director at Rula Developments commented: “Following appointment last year, we have been working with officers and stakeholders to develop exciting proposals to regenerate this key employment site, which has potential to deliver up to 1,000 jobs.”
