Stradivarius takes 10,000 sq ft at Metrocentre

The fashion brand is venturing into the North East with its debut regional store opening in lower Red Mall this summer.

CBRE is the asset manager for the UK’s second largest shopping centre, which saw a 10% increase in visitors in 2024 as it welcomed 15.8m people.

As well as increased footfall, almost 300,000 sq ft of deals were completed in the last 12 months, including 26,000 sq ft by River Island, an NHS facility, and various F&B offerings

Ben Cox, director at Sovereign Centros from CBRE, commented: “Stradivarius signing for this regional debut is a huge statement for Metrocentre, confirming its appeal as the premier retail destination in the North East.

“Inditex’s decision to bring another of its leading brands to Red Mall showcases our ability to deliver the best in fashion experiences to our growing and increasingly loyal customer base.”
