Tesla installation at Integra 61

Citrus Durham will install 19 Tesla superchargers at its £400m, 205-acre mixed-use scheme south of Durham as part of its roadside offering, which currently includes KFC, Greggs, and Costa drive-thrus.

Citrus Durham was advised by joint roadside agents Colliers and Avison Young.

Home to Amazon’s 2m sq ft Fulfilment Centre, a further 640,000 sq ft of logistics space split over five units known as Connect at Integra 61 has also completed on site.

With 60,000+ Superchargers, Tesla owns and operates more than 60,000 superchargers around the world with 1,700 in the UK.

The chargers installed at Integra 61 will be the V4, which are compatible with all EVs as well as Tesla, and will be ready to use between February and March.

David Cullingford, head of development at Citrus, said: “They will make EV charging more convenient for those working and living here and make the site even more attractive to new occupiers.”

Housing on the Integra site includes Bellway’s 91-unit housing development (Clarence Gate) on the northern sector of the scheme and Persimmon’s 170-home Millbeck Grange estate.
