Turnbull joins AY’s UK executive
Chris Turnbull, principal in building & project consultancy at Avison Young’s Newcastle office, has been appointed as representative for the regions on the firm’s national executive.
The executive influences and shapes the company’s business strategy and financial performance.
Turnbull said: “I’m delighted to have been voted by the UK principals following the national selection process and join the UK executive. I am looking forward to contributing to the future development of the business and representing both Newcastle and all UK regions as we grow.”
He is project manager on the Pilgrim’s Quarter development in Newcastle city centre, having previously project managed the construction of the grade A office building Bank House, which was the first phase development within the wider Pilgrim Street regeneration area.
Jo Davis, UK executive chair at Avison Young, added: “We pride ourselves as a truly regional business, I know Chris will bring a huge amount of regional perspective to the executive and our UK growth plans.”
Gordon Hewling, principal and managing director of AY Newcastle, said: “This appointment is so well deserved, reflecting not only on Chris’s ability and experience, but also affirming the high esteem in which the Newcastle office is held within the UK organisation.”
