Work to start on £4.8m Newham Hall road

Middlesbrough Council is starting work on the spine road that will run through a proposed 1,000-home development.

Subject to planning permission, a 175-acre site in Coulby Newham will be developed over the coming decades.

The Newham Hall site is on former farmland, and has been allocated for housing in the Local Plan.

Construction on the road will start on Monday 30 June until April next year and will be funded through a Levelling Up grant.

Designed by Lynas Engineers and delivered by Cleveland Land Services, the road will run north to south from the Bonnygrove roundabout to the B1365.
