Castle appointed on South Tyneside College relocation

Hellens Group and Homes England’s Darlington development has had the sign-off on its Section 106 agreement, with work on the first phase now expected to commence in the next few weeks. 

The fashion brand is venturing into the North East with its debut regional store opening in lower Red Mall this summer. 

One year on from the companies forming a joint venture to develop the West Hartford land into up to 1m sq ft of commercial and industrial space, plans have been unveiled at a meeting with North East Mayor Kim McGuinness. 

Newcastle’s 207-foot property, designed by Ryder Architecture and built by Bowmer + Kirkland, is now at 75% occupancy. 

The government has been clear that its plans for growth include the delivery of 1.5m homes, and changes to the NPPF and the promise to speed up planning applications is an indicator of how it plans to do it. But what does it mean in practical terms for the property industry?
