The four-acre North Shields site is being developed into a 47-home estate by Lovell. 

Having been appointed on the project in April, Robertson Construction North East is delivering a £16m cinema and restaurant leisure scheme on behalf of  Northumberland Council, with the project forming a central element of the wider £36m Regenerating Ashington Programme.

The architect firm will lead on transforming the 18,000 sq ft vacant council building, recently acquired by Ward Group Investments, into 45 studio apartments.
