IsoPartner signs for 58,000 sq ft North Tyneside HQ

Rising costs are causing construction delays at the £140m project, pushing the completion date back from December to spring next year. 

The Hebburn-based contractor has completed a 48,000 sq ft Sainsburys, a 45,000 sq ft terrace of seven trade units, and a 1,850 sq ft Starbucks drive-thru at the Tees Valley retail park. 

The housebuilder wants to add 156 homes to the town’s housing stock on 26-acres of land at Norton Golf Course. 

Acting on behalf of Sunderland City Council, the firm intends to immediately start the search for potential operators, investors, and developers for the £450m film studios, which saw previous investor Cain International withdraw from the project in July. 

The 16,000 sq ft warehouse will be the second UK logistics site for Olympus Global and has been designed and project managed by Building Design Northern. 

Designed by PDP Associates, the centrepiece of Hellens Group’s 2,000-home development has been approved and will form a key landscape feature in the 307-acre neighbourhood.

The Liverpool-based mechanical and electrical engineer will team up with Place North to champion conversations around sustainability, resilience, and collaboration in the built environment.

The latest round of new towns will be made with the ambition of their post-war predecessors, but with better thinking around sustainable transport and stewardship of green spaces, according to housing minister Matthew Pennycook.
