Newcastle’s Spire to reopen this month
Owner Central Space has completed a year-long refurbishment of the 38,500 sq ft Pilgrim Street office building.
The project has seen the three-storey 1970s property, located at the top of Akenside Hill close to the Tyne Bridge, transformed into 38,566 sq. ft. of high-end serviced Grade A office space, substantially overhauled.

Central Space has introduced a ‘Platinum Suite’ range, from four person to 40 person offices with meeting and conferencing facilities.
Other new features include the Platinum Lounge with a barista station, refreshments, co-working space, a manned reception, 24/7 access and one monthly fee covering all services..
A new rooftop terrace is also planned to follow later in the year.
Central Space owns and manages several office properties across the North East including Alderman Fenwick’s House. The company also specialises in bespoke fitout.
Managing director Marc Dixon said: “The quality is impressive while the attention to detail, and use of energy efficient, environmentally friendly construction methods within an existing structure ensure the new look building will appeal to occupiers with a sustainable focus and wanting a low carbon footprint.”
Dixon said that Spire is attracting a high level of interest from occupiers across a range of sectors.
