Regeneration Brainery + Place North

Regeneration Brainery named Place North’s 2025 charity partner

Place North is committed to being part of the skills shortage solution and championing a more diverse property industry, which is why we are working with Regeneration Brainery – a non-profit that helps bring more young people into the built environment.

For the second year in a row, Regeneration Brainery has been chosen as our charity partner. The group works with more than 4,000 young people from across the UK each year. These ‘Brainees’ come from backgrounds that are under-represented in the property world.

Through a mixture of workshops, networking sessions, and site visits they are exposed to what it is like working in the built environment and form valuable connections to help them start their future careers.

“Renewing the Place/Regeneration Brainery partnership was a simple decision,” said Place North managing partner and head of commercial Dino Moutospoulos.

Place North knows how important inclusivity is to a modern property industry and we are very keen to help lead that message,” he continued.

“I look forward to continuing to provide support to Regeneration Brainery by providing practical opportunities for the Brainees as well as the corporate team.”

Michele Steel, chief executive of Regeneration Brainery, shared what it has been like being Place North’s charity partner in 2024.

“Being Place North’s charity partner for the last 12 months has given us tonnes of opportunity – their support at MIPIM and UKREiiF was particularly valuable, giving us access to some great events and spreading the word about our activities,” she said.

“As we expand into Yorkshire and the North East in 2025, with the Regeneration Brainery programme scheduled to run in Leeds, Sheffield, and Newcastle, as well as Manchester, London, Birmingham, Liverpool, and Stoke, Place North’s continued support for us in the regions is a massive boost.”

In addition to Place, other groups working with Regeneration Brainery include Homes England, Lloyds Bank, Landsec, Civic Engineers, Avison Young, AtkinsRéalis, BDP, Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, Bruntwood, Capital&Centric, Rider Levett Bucknall, Arup, CWC, Shedkm, Genr8, Arcadis, and Addleshaw Goddard.
