Bellway pushes on in Gateshead
A sales centre has opened at the Modello development, in which the housebuilder is transforming part of a former railway goods yard site into 98 apartments.
An aerial view of the site, off Fletcher Road, shows work taking shape on the first apartment blocks and also highlights the development’s location in the Gateshead Quayside area, with the Tyne Bridge and the Glasshouse International Centre for Music in the background.
The development will provide 98 apartments for private sale, with all two-bedroom apartments including their own assigned parking spot, the site also will feature a landscaped open space and children’s play area.
Emma Chesterton, sales director for Bellway North East, said: “This drone image shows the first apartment blocks beginning to take shape at Modello.
“It also shows what a fantastic location these new apartments occupy, just a short walk from the River Tyne and Newcastle city centre, while Gateshead Metro Station is also within walking distance half a mile away.”
Modello is part of the former Greenesfield Railway Works regeneration and is serving to improve the area by turning a former brownfield site into a modern community.
Bellway North East is to build 98 new apartments across three four-storey blocks. The site will feature 87 two-bedroom apartments and 11 one-bedroom apartments.
