Story Homes kicks off 250-home Eaglescliffe project

The housebuilder has started work on Sadler Woods, which is being developed in partnership with Home Group.

Story has entered into a joint venture with Home, which will see the Cumbrian firm builds all 253 homes on the site close to Stockton-on-Tees, and take responsibility for selling the 190 open-market properties.

Home Group, which this year took possession of its new headquarters at One Strawberry Lane in Newcastle, will be responsible for the 63 affordable homes in the masterplan.

Stuart Morgan, Story Homes’ North East land director, said: “I’m really pleased that we have commenced works at Sadler Woods, and I was happy to mark the occasion with our partners, Home Group.

“As well as bringing our beautiful new homes to the area, the development will also provide numerous benefits to the local community through infrastructure improvements and support for local services.

“I’m looking forward to seeing our plans come to fruition, as this fantastic scheme progresses.”

Sadler Woods will include three-, four- and five-bedroom homes.
