Yarm housing spree continues
Gladman Developments is looking to build 495 homes off Green Lane, the fourth proposal in as many months for the Stockton-on-Tees town.
Design and environmental practice FPCR has worked on the scheme.
The 57-acre agricultural site would be located next to Morley Carr Farm and opposite the Tall Trees housing development, on the edge of the town.
Plans are still at the public consultation stage with Gladman preparing an outline application, however the developer stated it would feature landscaping, planting, footpaths, and a children’s play area.
The developer also said it will stick to the required 20% of affordable housing.
The market town is receiving a lot of attention from housing developers at the moment, which has resulted in fierce opposition from resident groups.
Plans from Taylor Wimpey to build 600 homes in Yarm have already raised more than 400 objections. Miller is looking to build 376 homes, VB Turnbull up to 255 homes, and Banks recently broke ground on its 109-home Cornfields site.
Miller and CB Turnbull are yet to make a formal application.
