Consultancy expands Newcastle team

BNP Paribas Real Estate has brought in Donna Alderson as associate director within its lease advisory department.

Alderson joins following a year at Eddisons, prior to which she spent a decade as a senior surveyor at Newcastle City Council.

Aidan Baker, head of the Newcastle office at BNP Paribas Real Estate, said  “Donna’s hire is the latest in our work to grow our office with hires that command a strong local market knowledge and expertise in their field.

“Donna has almost two decades of experience advising on leases across the North East at the highest level with her work within Newcastle Council, and as such, is the ideal candidate to bolster our client offer as market conditions are requiring more of a wider variation of leasing options.”

Leighton Thomas, head of lease advisory at BNP Paribas Real Estate, added: “We operate one the UK’s largest lease advisory teams and act across all real estate asset classes. To allow us to service our growing client demand, we’ve been actively recruiting market experts across our offices.

“Donna is the latest hire we’ve announced in a matter of months, and we are actively looking at further hires as we expand further.”

Alderson follows Jason Smith in joining the Newcastle office from Eddisons – Smith moved firms in August this year, joining BNP Paribas as a director in valuations.
