Amethyst Homes acquires land in Guide Post

The Consett-based housebuilder plans to build 111 homes in the south east Northumberland town, with the first phase consisting of 59 homes.

Planning permission has already been granted for the site, which is part of a larger redevelopment area between Choppington and Guide Post.

Following the acquisition, an amendment to the permission has been submitted.

Known as The Woodlands, phase one will consist of two- to four-bedroom homes.

Work will commence in summer with the first homes completed next spring.
