Anstey Horne launches Newcastle fire engineering team
The built environment consultancy has opened an office in the city as part of an expansion of its services in the North East, with Luke Jagger and Matthew Lawson joining from Stantec.
The new regional base will provide fire engineering consultancy for development projects, with the team supporting clients through design and construction as well as fire risk management, surveying, compliance, and building safety work.
The Newcastle operation will be led by Luke Jagger, who joins as director of fire engineering, and Matthew Lawson, appointed associate director of fire engineering.
They are joined by principal fire engineers Shibil Muhammed and Abhilash Viswamani. The team joins Anstey Horne from Stantec and brings experience across a range of sectors and complex projects.
Jagger previously led Stantec’s fire engineering team in the North East, having begun his career at Warringtonfire, while Lawson has worked across sectors including aviation, manufacturing, and fast-moving consumer goods.
The Newcastle launch follows the appointment of Charles Betts as a senior director at Anstey Horne and forms part of the consultancy’s wider investment in its fire engineering capability.
The company said the new regional team would give clients across the North East direct access to fire engineering expertise alongside its wider multidisciplinary consultancy services.
