Co-op to anchor Wynyard Park retail hub
The convenience store is the first tenant secured for the street at Hanzard Drive, which will have nine retail units and sit in the middle of the 1,000-home estate in Teesside.
Co-op is taking 4,500 sq ft at the retail development, which is being built by Joseph Homes and is named Roseberry Place.
The Wynyard Park development, located just off the A689 and near to the A19, has been developed over the last 20 years and comprises a business park and a residential estate with more than 1,000 homes built.
A further 800 homes are currently being built by North East developers Cameron Hall and Jomast, and there is space for 2,000 more homes.
Rob Tindale, Co-op acquisition manager, said: “We are really looking forward to contributing to local life and serving and supporting the community.”
Chris Musgrave, chief executive of Wynyard Park Limited, said: “We wanted our first tenant on Roseberry Place to reflect our values of community and convenience for the people of Wynyard Park and the Co-op fits the bill perfectly.”
