Newcastle’s Delta hotel hits the market 

Christie & Co has been instructed to sell two Marriott-owned hotels; one in the North East and one in the North West.

Delta Hotels by Marriott Newcastle Gateshead sits next to The Metrocentre and has 150 bedrooms, a bar and restaurant, a leisure centre, and a range of meeting and conference rooms.

The hotel was refurbished in 2023, and has operated under a franchise agreement since May 2025.

No price has been set, with offers being invited.

In terms of access, it is located close to the A1 Western Bypass.

On the other side of the country, Delta Hotels by Marriott Preston is also being placed on the market.

The Victorian manor house and full-service hotel has 149 bedrooms, conference and meeting facilities, a restaurant, bar, and a leisure club with a gym, swimming pool, and spa facilities.

It also underwent a full refurbishment in 2023, and has operated under a franchise agreement since August last year.

Set within 11 acres of parkland, offers are also being accepted on this property, which is located off the M6 and M55 motorways with connections to Manchester, Liverpool and Blackpool.
