Sales on the up at County Durham retail park
Dalton Park Outlet has reported a 12.4% increase in total sales year-on-year over the first half of 2024, as Greggs headed a host of new arrivals.
In addition to its overall growth at the Global Mutual-managed centre, quarterly sales rose by 8.8%, while monthly sales grew by 7.7%.
Key highlights of H1include Dalton Park’s 21st birthday celebration, which featured 21% off selected brands.
Further openings included a pop-up Le Creuset store, while Mountain Warehouse has upsized and refitted.
Nicky Lovell, head of outlets and business development at Global Mutual, said: “The first half of 2024 has been outstanding for Dalton Park. The centre’s strategic focus on enhancing the shopping experience, diversifying the tenant mix, and engaging with the community has paid off significantly.
“The impressive sales growth reflects the strong appeal of Dalton Park as a leading shopping destination. We are excited to build on this momentum in the coming months.”

Originally opened in 2003, the park now has more than 60 stores and generate more than £4m in passing rent per year.
