Savills expands Newcastle new homes team with six North East launches
The move makes Newcastle one of Savills’ core regional hubs in the North of England, alongside Manchester, Liverpool, and Leeds.
The firm has launched the six schemes for North East housebuilder Cussins (North East) Ltd, spanning Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, and County Durham.
The developments are Riverside in South Shields, Debdon Falls in Rothbury, Burgham Park Gardens near Morpeth, Sycamore Place in Barrasford, Summerson Place in Darlington and Eccleston Park in Backworth and range from countryside developments to family housing in suburban locations.
These comprise 77 homes at Riverside in South Shields; 40 four and five-bedroom homes at Debdon Falls in Rothbury; the 22-home Burgham Park Gardens near Morpeth, set within the grounds of Burgham Park Golf Club; Sycamore Place in Barrasford, a development of 12 five-bedroom sandstone homes, now 50% sold; Summerson Place in Darlington, which will deliver 145 homes in the town’s West Park area; and Eccleston Park in Backworth, a 72-home development which forms part of a wider growing community in North Tyneside.
Savills said its latest residential development research showed developer sentiment remained strongest in the North of England, with competition for development opportunities and continued confidence in the region’s housing market.
