Buyer sought for Picture House offices

Converted from a cinema, the Team Valley Gateshead building offers close to 11,000 sq ft over two floors.

JK Property Consultants has been appointed to sell The Picture House, offers self-contained contemporary detached offices over two floors in a landscape setting off Queensway.

For the last 13 years, the building has been occupied by a leading industry trade body.

Kevan Carrick, co-founder of JK Property Consultants, said: “The Picture House is so very aptly named and its history brings back evocative memories of wartime Britain.

“Whilst it was originally built in the 1930s, it came into its own during World War Two as a cinema providing leisure and welfare facilities for the manufacturing workers of the Queens Park area of the Team Valley.

“It is perfectly suited for a prestigious national or regional headquarters, with a large conference space and many exceptional design features that make a perfect backdrop for branding and projecting a high-quality image.

“Indeed, the building, which is set within a mature garden environment, has been converted in a very exciting, open plan style, which offers great opportunity for large meetings and events and, importantly, the building is well placed to meet a new owner’s net carbon ambitions.”

The building is close to the retail and leisure amenities at Maingate and Retail World, and sits two minutes from the A1 Western bypass.
