H&H Land & Estates appoints managing director

Tim Sedgewick will take on the leadership role at the Northern land and property agency on 1 November.

Sedgewick is currently a senior director at H&H Land & Estates, having joined the firm in 2012 as a rural surveyor. He will replace Mark Johnson as managing director, with Johnson being promoted to the newly created position of group chief operating officer.

“Tim has been a pivotal member of our leadership team, bringing over a decade of expertise in rural estate management, development, and land agency,” said H&H group chief executive Richard Rankin.

“He has consistently demonstrated an ability to navigate complex land transactions and provide strategic advice across a wide range of sectors, including property, renewable energy, and development land.”

Rankin continued praising Sedgewick: “Among his many strengths, his relationship-building skills ensure the best outcomes for both clients and colleagues, and his in-depth knowledge of the land and property sector, combined with his hands-on approach, has made him a trusted advisor and leader within H&H Land & Estates.

“Tim will play a huge part in our ongoing development of the business and the group, and his wide-ranging experience and commitment to high standards will be invaluable as we continue to adapt to the evolving needs of our clients and the economy.”

For his part, Sedgewick said he was “excited” to become managing director.

“This is a time of great opportunity, and the company has an outstanding team, so I am looking forward to continuing our efforts together as we build on our strong reputation and deliver outstanding results for our clients,” Sedgewick said.

“I am committed to a people-centred approach while also exploring new prospects to grow and innovate in an ever-changing property landscape.”

H&H offers services in land management, ecology, arboriculture, leasing, valuation, and chartered surveying. The company has offices in Carlisle, Kendal, Penrith, Durham, Northallerton, Hexham, and Staveley.
