P+HS strengthens board
Newcastle-based P+HS Architects has appointed Katie Shepherd as a shareholding director. Shepherd joined the practice in 2017 and leads the residential team.
She is currently working on Clasper Village regeneration scheme in Horden, County Durham, among other projects, and directing the company’s push into social housing.
Beyond project delivery, Shepherd is a board member of Women in Social Housing and sits on the Yorkshire Design Review Panel.
Katie Shepherd said: “I’m incredibly proud to become a director and shareholder at P+HS. Since joining the practice in 2017, it has been hugely rewarding to be part of the growth of our Newcastle studio and to develop our residential work across the practice.
“What has always mattered to me is creating places that genuinely work for the people who live in them, while supporting the talented people around me to develop and succeed. Becoming a shareholder gives me the opportunity to play an even greater role in shaping the future of P+HS, and I’m really excited about what comes next.”
James Almond, managing director at P+HS Architects, said: “Katie’s appointment is thoroughly deserved and reflects the huge contribution she has made to P+HS since joining us. She combines excellent design and sector knowledge with a real ability to bring people together, develop teams and build strong relationships with our clients.
“Katie has been instrumental in growing our residential work and has become an important voice within the wider industry. As we look to the next stage of P+HS’s growth, it is hugely important that we continue to strengthen our leadership team with people who understand our business, share our ambitions and care deeply about the work we do and the people we do it with.”
P+HS Architects employs 130 people across four studios, and specialises in healthcare, residential and public sector projects.
