Next phase of Wynyard housing gets the nod

Stockton-on-Tees has approved 243 homes to be delivered by Stonebridge on 37 acres at Fallows Park on land north of Tees Valley Court.

Located around one mile from the A19, the proposals, brought forward by Wynyard Park, builds on the privately funded neighbourhood made up of housing and retail space brought forward by developers such as Castle, Duchy Homes, Stonebridge, Cameron Hall, and Robertson Homes.

Wynyard Garden Village’s overall masterplan will eventually accommodate between 5,000-6,800 homes. Currently, around 2,500 have been completed.

Supported by Hedley Planning, this phase of the development is expected to generate around £900,000 per year in additional council tax once the development is complete, supporting local authority services.

The development is bounded to the west, north and east by mature woodland, while the southern boundary is defined by recently completed residential developments delivered by Avant Homes and Storey Homes.

Matt Johnson, director of Wynyard Park, said: “These proposals represent another important step in the continued growth of Wynyard Park, delivering high-quality new homes alongside significant economic benefits for the region.

“Alongside much-needed housing, the scheme will support local jobs, investment and supply chains, reinforcing Wynyard Park’s position as one of the North East’s most desirable places to live.”
