Progress for Banks’ first large residential development

The 150 homes estate in West Rainton, County Durham, will include 120 detached, three-to-five bedroomed family homes, as well as 30 affordable properties.

Banks Homes, the housebuilding arm of Banks Property, was set up in 2023 to focus on building sustainable housing across the North East and Yorkshire.

The regional housebuilding company recently held its launch event for the Cathedral Meadows estate, with plots secured and the first occupants scheduled to move in 2025.

Each Cathedral Meadows property will have a Hive heating system, an Omega kitchen, Porcelanosa bathrooms, and a Ring video doorbell.

Aisling Ramshaw, head of sales and marketing at Banks Homes, said: “We’re proud to be building our first large-scale development in our home county and to be maintaining the Banks Group’s longstanding ‘development with care’ ethos and community commitment as part of this work.”
