The North East England event programme will highlight development opportunities in the region, such as Crown Works film studio in Sunderland and NETPark in Durham, and the ambitions of the North East Combined Authority, which includes driving the green energy revolution.

Talks will cover a range of topics, such as: ‘Ahead of the game: From unmissable experiences to unforgettable places’; ‘To new industries and beyond: AI, space and electrification’; and ‘The power of offshore wind: Driving investment in the UK’.

North East Mayor, Kim McGuinness, said: “We are bringing North East England together for the first time at UKREiiF to profile the exciting development and investment potential our region can offer. I am looking forward to joining our many private and public sector partners in Leeds for the exciting programme of events we have planned.”

Dr Sarah Green, chief executive of NewcastleGateshead Initiative, said: “This event programme really encapsulates the ambitions as well as the strengths of the North East under the leadership of Mayor Kim McGuinness and the North East Combined Authority.”
