Persimmon submits Stockton plans
The housebuilder wants to add 156 homes to the town’s housing stock on 26-acres of land at Norton Golf Course.
Located south east of Buckthorn Crescent, the landscape-led scheme will retain half of the plot as public open space, with features such as ponds, 114 newly planted trees, and hedgehog highways.
The project has been supported by Pegasus Group and is adjacent to The Elms, another residential estate developed by Persimmon alongside Barratt Homes, which consists of 148 properties.
The housing mix will be made up of one- to four-bedroom homes and 11 bungalows, with 20% designated as affordable housing.
Richard Holland, Persimmon Teesside land director, said: “We are delighted to bring these plans for new homes in Stockton forward.
“With the need for new housing growing, we’re working hard to play our part in delivering new homes and look forward to working with the community and the council on these plans.
“This development has been designed with local homebuyers in mind, meaning there is something for everyone.”
