ABCA makes Cobalt move
The fire and security systems specialist has taken 6,000 sq ft at the Newcastle business park.
ABCA Systems has now moved into the space, on the first floor of Cobalt 8.
The firm’s systems are used by more than 100 UK corporates, employing more than 100,000 people, and has relocated from Mylord Crescent, Killingworth due to a need for larger, more adaptable space.
Michael Dannell, group operations manager, said: “The building is modern and has great facilities. There is plenty of parking around the building too.”
Aidan Baker, head of BNP Paribas Real Estate’s Newcastle office, said: “We are thrilled to welcome ABCA Systems to Cobalt 8. Their reputation as a leader in business protection solutions aligns perfectly with the dynamic and innovative community we have created at Cobalt Park.
“We look forward to supporting their journey and seeing them thrive in their new home.”
Dannell said he expects networking and the wider range of facilities to be benefits: “I think meeting other companies on a park as big as Cobalt is a huge benefit, as you can sell your products easier. At our last office, there were only two other companies to mingle with.
“Again, the amenities are absolutely brilliant with the shops, pubs, gyms, and social aspect—a hundred times better than our previous place of work, so I’m very happy.”
Cobalt Park is described as the UK’s largest business park. There are around 30 buildings, with an estimated 14,000 people employed.
The Cobalt 8 building is marketed by BNP Paribas and Knight Frank.
